Many things have been said about the making of The Exorcist. The film created hysteria and controversy while being simultaneously critically acclaimed.

What some may know is that the film's director William Friedkin was seen as somewhat of a mad genius on set, using unconventional methods of achieving terrifying perfection.

What no one knows is that while the film was about fending of possession of an evil entity, Mr. Friedkin was fending off a demon of his own.
